COUCH TO 5K
MONDAY EVENINGS

START YOUR RUNNING JOURNEY WITH US

Our club has been running a successful Couch to 5K course since 2018.  We’ve helped hundreds of people into a more active lifestyle, seen them grow in confidence as runners, and make new friends while they’re at it!

We use our clubhouse on Druid Street as a meeting point and bag drop, before doing the practice runs nearby. Not only do you have the support of your peers and dedicated volunteers, but we also have a special Facebook group full of people on the same journey. We encourage everyone in the group to share their runs, stories, hints and tips and ask questions. Many of our volunteers have completed the Couch to 5K course themselves.

After the 9 weeks are over, we all go to our local parkrun to complete a 5K, followed by a “graduation” brunch. Many participants then come and join the regular run sessions. We even have a group of “graduates” every Tuesday and Thursday who run together.
