If you would like to support the club while getting a host of added benefits, we would recommend that you sign up for affiliated membership! It costs £35/year and is valid from 1 April 2022 - 31 March 2023.

With affiliated membership you receive:

Automatic registration with England Athletics

Free entry to league competition, notably Surrey League Cross Country

MEET OUR COACHES

All coaches at London City Runners hold a Coaching in Running Fitness (CiRF) qualification or more, and bring a wide range of experience to the club.

NATASCHA STARR

Natascha has been a runner for well over thirteen years, first starting as a teen on her high school cross country team. Since then, she has run numerous races from the mile to the marathon, and is looking forward to tackling her first ultra this year. Her love for the sport led her to qualify as a running coach, and for the last several years has been working as a coach with London City Runners, regularly coaching up to 100 runners or more at the Wednesday night track sessions!

RICHARD COATES

Running has always been a loyal companion in Richard’s life whether it’s via his own running adventures or coaching / inspiring others. He’s been running since his teens and has raced from 5k to multi day ultras. Whilst he might not be as fast as in his younger years, he can still mix it and enjoys personal challenge along with the camaraderie that it brings.

Richard has been coaching runners of all abilities and experience for 10 years, working remotely or face to face in London. Outside of coaching, Richard helps run his own gym in Battersea and is involved in a helping a variety of other young businesses develop.

ALICE FOSTER

Alice was always a sprinter at school, classifying anything over 400m as long distance and something she couldn’t do. But after moving to London, she took on a personal ‘couch to marathon’ challenge and never looked back! Subsequently completing numerous parkruns, ultra-marathons, and every distance in between, she has also used her running skills to complete triathlons from sprint distance to Ironman. With an undeniable passion for the sport, Alice believes running should be accessible to all – as long as you’re having fun, anything is achievable!

KERRY NEWELL

A Coach in Running Fitness, and Athletic Coach, Kerry has been involved in running since age 13 and is currently coaching at an athletic club as a 800m coach for teenagers. She is a full time professional coach for runners - from complete beginners to U20 European Gold Medalist at 5k to ultra runners.

She is also a mentor for up and coming coaches, along with working for England Athletics as a tutor on all levels of courses, including Visual Impairment & Disability in Athletics. She is also a Club Run Coach and an England Marathon Masters Team Coach. She loves supporting people to get fit running, getting them starting on their running journey and seeing them progressing and enjoying it!
